The Educational Exhibition dedicated to Matteo Ricci


The Educational Exhibition dedicated to Matteo Ricci is an initiative of the director of the Shanghai section of the Italian Institute of Culture, Paolo Sabbatini, the culture attaché of the Institute, Giorgio Casacchia and Luigi Ricci of Macerata who was responsible for the project and its bringing into being.

Salient moments of his biography are also noted, literary work as well as numerous illustrations in the Chinese classic style.

The review includes 49 panels on rolled cloth in keeping with traditional Chinese painting techniques, expressly produced in China.

The printed section of each panel is 50 x 90 cm.

The display contains 275 documents and photographs.

Texts are in Italian, English and Chinese.
